Rick Buckner has retired after 35 years with the Clark County Sheriff”s Department and 20 of those years as a Major Crimes Detective. He is the local expert for Lie Detector testing in the Portland OR and Vancouver WA areas.
Rick is a graduate of the Northeastern Counter Drug Training Center, Polygraph School in Harrisburg PA. He is a member of:
- American Polygraph Association (APA)
- American Association of Police Polygraphists (AAPP)
- Northwest Polygraph Examiners Association (NPEA)
- and attended Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT) in Kentucky

Some companies want you to believe that they can offer Voice Stress Analysis, which the United States Government has determined to be unreliable. All law enforcement officers hired in Washington State must undergo a complete polygraph examination prior to being admitted to the State Law Enforcement Academy.
